Assistance is available to current
and new school families.
The services of Family Financial
Needs Assessment (FFNA) will be used to determine
the amount of tuition assistance available to
families. No one from First Baptist Church or
DCS will have access to the information required for
the FFNA process. Only materials received by
First Baptist Church or DCS from FFNA will be
used to determined final tuition assistance
allotments.
Families must have students
registered for enrollment to receive FFNA
application forms from the school office.
Enrollment fees will only be refundable
if DCS denies a student admission . Application fees
are totally the responsibility of the
families.
Tuition assistance will be limited
to a maximum of 50% of a family’s total
tuition bill, not including registration,
book, lab, sports or other special fees.
It is the responsibility of the
families to see that applications are received by
FFNA by the deadline established by the school
committee which is May 16, 2008.
All families receiving tuition
assistance will be placed on a 10 or 12 month
payment schedule, dependent upon their payment plan
choice, receiving 1/10 or 1/12 of their tuition
assistance as credit on each monthly bill.
Upon receiving the summary report
from FFNA on or after July 31st, the
following evaluations will be made by the DCS school
committee:
If the total tuition
assistance recommended by FFNA exceeds the
amount available from the Tuition Assistance
Fund, each family approved by FFNA will receive
a tuition reduction proportionate to the FFNA
recommendation.
If the total tuition
assistance recommended by FFNA is less than the
amount available from the Tuition Assistance
Fund, the excess amount will be:
made available to
additional families on a "first come, first
served" basis
and/or
kept in reserve for future
tuition assistance
and/or
returned to the endowment
for interest accumulation
Tuition assistance will only be in
the form of credit on monthly billing. NO cash or
