Academics
There will be no school on Monday, January 16, 2012. It will be a teacher in-service day at DCS. Regular class schedules resume on Tuesday, January 17th.
Friday, January 13th, 2012 marks the close of the first half of the 2011-2012 school term. School will be closed Monday, January 16th for teacher in-service. Report cards for the second quarter will go home on Friday, January 20th.
Three-week academic progress reports for the second quarter will be sent home on Monday, December 12th.
Student report cards for the first quarter will be sent home on Friday, November 4th.
The first quarter (9-week grading period) will conclude Friday, October 28th. Report cards will be sent home Friday, November 4th.
Monday, October 31st is a teacher in-service day at DCS. There will be no school that day. The regular class schedule will resume Tuesday, November 1st.
The DCS Spelling Bee is on Thursday, October 13th, at 8:30 AM in the auditorium. Students in grades 2nd through 8th will be participating.
School will be dismissed at 12:15pm on Friday, September 30 to accommodate the Parent - Teacher Conferences. All DCS parents are strongly encouraged to contact the school office to schedule a meeting with their student's teacher(s) between 1:00pm and 8:00pm.
