DuBois Christian School and the ACSI Spelling Bee
Tournament
This year
on October 10, 2008 DuBois Christian Schools held a
school wide Spelling Bee for grades 1-8. Each
classroom competed separately on their own grade level.
Grades 1-4 competed for in-school prizes while grades
5-8 are competed for the opportunity
to represent DCS on November 10, 2008 at Punxsutawney.
The top two
students
from
each class have been chosen.

Mid-Atlantic Regional Spelling Bee
The top four spellers of each District Spelling Bee
are invited to participate in the Regional Spelling Bee
in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on February 25, 2009. The
fifth and sixth place spellers are alternates.
ACSI National Spelling Bee
This event takes place on May 10, 2009 in Washington,
D.C. The top four winners of each Regional Spelling Bee
compete in this event. The fifth and sixth place
spellers are alternates.
